The behaviour of dogs.
When a puppy appears in the house, as a rule all members of the family pay particular attention to it and watch it. But sometimes a puppy can not find the support in the family.
You should remember that the process of adaptation takes almost half a year. Adult dogs get used to the new house worse than puppies do and almost never they get used to the new owners. That is why it is recommended to take a puppy and not the adult dog.
Sometimes the behaviour of the adult dog that got into the new house to the new owner can be really unpredictable. They may be a danger to a person sometimes even a danger to life.
Scientists say that the psyche of a dog is rather flexible and it can get used to all conditions but it will never become so loyal and devoted to the new owner. Of course a dog can accept the relationships with the new keeper but every minute it may attack a person and even a child. It will never become the true friend to unknown people. It will accept food, communicate, play with new owner but will never trust to the end. To the contrary, a puppy from the first days gets used to its owners especially if they pay a lot of attention to it.
Due to its instincts, a dog considers the whole family to be the pack and the master is the leader in this pack. The opinion of the dog about this or that person can change with time. A dog can change its attitude to the person if it showed tenderness to it and vice versa a person that had nice relations with a dog and hurt it on purpose can cause negative attitude of the dog. The reason is that dogs remember feelings that a person provokes. If the associations are positive then a dog will receive a person with pleasure but if they are negative a dog will show its attitude to the offender.
The communication of the dog depends on the breed. There are the more and less communicative breeds. There may be breeds that communicate only with their owners.
There are periods when a dog wants to take the position of a leader. That is why it may be aggressive to the members of the family and even to the owner. Such attempts should be stopped immediately. The most difficult in such cases is to recognise the moment when a dog starts trying to become a leader. As a rule such period starts during the pubescence.
Any way it is necessary to maintain good and friendly relations with dogs. After all they are considered to be the smartest animals. They served to a person from ancient times.
