Myths about dogs.

Are you sure that you know everything about your pet? There are a lot of commonly known facts about dogs that result to be only myths. Here are some of them.

The ardent nose of a dog means that a dog has fallen ill. This is one of the most spread myths. In reality a dog can have ardent nose after the sleep. During the sleep the temperature of the nose becomes higher. But if the nose of the dog is not only ardent but also dry and the behaviour of the dog has changed a lot then it is necessary to visit a doctor.

The other not less popular myth is that dogs see everything in black and white colours. In reality they can see all the colours. But cats don't see the colours; maybe this fact was transmitted to the dogs and misunderstood. Scientists say that dogs can see colours but not so good as people do.

If the mouth of the animal is black, then a dog is furious. It is not true. The colour of the mouth depends on biological specialities of the dog. A black mouth can particularly be important for some breeds because can be the sign of the purity.

A dog moves its tail only when it wants to play. It is not true. A dog can move a tail in different cases including when it wants to play. It may move a tail when it feels anxious or excited. It may move it when it worries and when feels good.

So, be attentive with your dog and watch it carefully. But you shouldn't make the conclusions based only on your guesses. Every fact should be verified and if you have doubts about something ask a doctor.
