Attitude to dogs.
The 19th century is the century of revolution in the relationships between people and dogs. In the first half of the century people started to talk about the necessity to give some juridical rights to dogs.
From that time a great number of nurseries have been founded as well as a great number of services and doctors for dogs and animals.
The British Queen Victoria had 25 dogs. They were kept like kings; they lived in special palaces for dogs that were decorated with their portraits and carpets.
There are several cases when a keeper died and left all the money he/she had to his/her dog.
There is a specialshop with a tailor for dogs in Paris, and all the keepers can ask him to make the dress for a dog. This shop proposes a great variety of the most fashionable clothes. It also has its own magazine of the dog's fashionable clothes.
This shop also offers a great variety of brushes of the precious metals. Perfumes and cosmetics are of the most popular trade marks etc. It also offers the collars decorated with diamonds. They also have fitting rooms where a tailor can take sizes of the dog.
Since the 19th century people became more humane. And dogs became more popular especially in little towns. For example, a keeper made a special artificial limb for his dog when it lost its leg.
Now there are special laws that control the behaviour as of the dog as of the owner.
Dogs have become a part of image. Now dogs are kept not only with some purposes, but just to get positive emotions from communication with it.
