As every animal a dog can feel joy and sorrow. It can be happy and sad. And as every animal it expresses its emotions through its behaviour and sounds. A dog can't talk, but it can utter sounds of joy, excitement, sorrow and sadness. Even barking can be different.

Sometimes you may notice that your dog whines. Why does it happen? There are several reasons why they do that. To stop a pet whining it is necessary to understand the reason of such behaviour and to delete this reason.

A dog wants to say: "I want to be with you." Dogs and especially puppies are especially anxious about being alone. Sometimes they feel lonely or get frightened and start to whine. In wild nature a puppy left alone has no chances to survive. With the help of whining a puppy asks for help. Puppies left at home alone will do the same. But with time dogs get used to the time when their keeper are at work and don't worry.

To make your dog stop whining from feeling lonely it is necessary to leave a dog alone for some time and to appear in several minutes. Then it is necessary to make the period of absence longer. In such a way a dog will understand that a person will come back sooner or later.

Besides, it is necessary to leave a place in the house only for the use of a dog. It may be a corner or just a cage. A dog will know that it has the place to hide and will feel safe even alone.

A dog may whine if it wants to say: "I worry. I want to do something." Many dogs whine because they feel some events. Very often easily excited dogs start to utter different sounds looking forward to an interesting game. To solve this problem it is necessary to teach to concentrate your pet with the help of tasty food.

A dog that whines in a car may worry about the trip. If a dog whines looking into the window, it is necessary to close the view. But it is not recommended if the motion makes your dog sick. Doctors recommend simply ignoring the whining during driving a car.

Sometimes dogs whine from paint. When they are hurt they can't stop whining in such a way asking for a help. It is some kind of cry for a dog with the help of which it may express many feelings.

Another reason of whining is the individual characteristics. Some breeds whine more than others. If it disturbs you, you should consider it while choosing the breed of a dog.

And of course dogs whine if they miss their owners. When a dog is away from the person it usually spends time with, it will miss him/her. And with whining it expresses its feelings and emotions. But it stops when a dog and the person meet again. Then a dog is especially happy and wants to play.
